Our practitioner, Kejia Chen, is the third generation of his family to practise Chinese medicine. His grandfather was nationally renowned Chinese medicine gynecology & gastrologoy specialist in China, his aunt practised in the same fields for over 40 years. Between them, over 100 years in these two areas of medicine, most of it written down.
Trained in both medicines — properly, in both.
In China, a doctor of Chinese medicine studies anatomy, physiology, pathology and clinical diagnostics alongside classical theory. He completed both. It means he can read your blood work, your ultrasound report and your IVF protocol, and tell you where Chinese medicine fits alongside them — and where it doesn't.
Dr Kejia. Chen trained in both Chinese and Western medicine in China, and is the third generation of his family to practise — his grandfather and father both specialised in women's health and digestion. He has worked in Melbourne for over ten years. He explains what he's seeing in plain English, in terms that line up with what your GP has already told you.
